Itinerary: Irkutsk – Tunkinskaya Valley/Arshan village – Circumbaikal Rail Road – Listvianka – Irkutsk

Arrival in Irkutsk. Meet by local guide and transfer to hotel Sun /Viktoria or homestay. City tour of Irkutsk to see wooden houses, churches, Znamensky Monsatery, main streets of Irkutsk, theatres and many other historical sights. After lunch at local restaurant and tasting dishes of Siberian cuisine visit to the Decembrist`s museum. Return to the hotel or homestay. Rest.

 

Breakfast. Departure from Irkutsk to Tunkinskaya Valley and Arshan village, 210 km from Irkutsk. Stop at the observation platform where the beautiful view opens at the Kultuk gulf and mountains Khamar-Daban.Continue trip to Tunkinskaya valley famous by its mineral springs and beautiful landscapes. Arrival in Arshan.

Accommodation at private hotel `Zamok Gornogo Korolya` (Castle of Mountain King) / `Mariana Rosha` (Mariana Grove). Lunch. Walking tour at Arshan village, shore of Kingirga river, trekking in Sayan Mountains and visit to the waterfalls. Return to hotel. Dinner and rest.  Russian banya (supplement service).

 

Breakfast. Visit to the Buryat Datsan located in the forest closed to Arshan village. Lunch at hotel. Departure to Gemchug village, 35 km  to visit thermal source (Hot Metane and Carbonic water from 38 ° C till 55 ° C), you`ll have a possibility to take a both with hot spring (supplement service). Return to Arshan, on the way visit Buddhist mortars. Arrival at hotel. Dinner and rest. Russian banya (supplement service).

Early breakfast. Departure to Sludianka, 110 km from Arshan. Departure by tourist train from Sludianka to Port Baikal for full day excursion on Circumbaikal Rail Road. During excursion you`ll have 3 stops to visit galleries, tunnels, to walk in the forest and at lake Baikal shore. The train always goes on Baikal shore and you`ll have a possibility to admire beautiful landscapes of the lake. Lunch will be served for you in the train. In the evening arrival at the village Port Baikal. Departure by ferry to the village Listvianka (10 minutes). Transfer to hotels. Accommodation at hotel Anastasya/Baikalskaye Terema  or homestay.

 

Breakfast. Excursion to museum of wooden architecture `Taltsy` located 23 km from Listvianka. Return to Listvianka and visit to the observation platform to see the famous Shaman Rock. Lunch at local restaurant at the shore of the lake, tasting dishes of famous lake Baikal fish «omul». Then excursion at the Baikal museum to see the flora and the fauna of lake Baikal. Visit by cable car to Mountain Chersky where a beautiful view opens at the south part of lake Baikal and the source of the Angara river. Walking tour at the village Krestovka with visit to the Saint Nicolas church. Return to the hotel or the homestay. Russian banya (supplement service).

 

Breakfast. Transfer to Irkutsk airport or railway station. Departure from Irkutsk.
