Winter Fairy Tale at lake Baikal

Itinerary: Irkutsk – Circumbaikal Rail Road – Listvianka – Irkutsk

Arrival in Irkutsk. Meet with guide and transfer to the hotel Viktoria or homestay located in the city center. After rest city tour of Irkutsk to see wooden houses, churches, Znamensky Monastery, main streets of Irkutsk, theatres and many other historical sights. After lunch at local restaurant and tasting dishes of Siberian cuisine visit to the Decembrist`s museum. Return to the hotel or homestay. Rest.

 

Early breakfast. Transfer with guide to the Railway to start a fascinating trip by tourist train on Circumbaikal rail road. Arrival at the railway station, boarding in the first class carriage and departure. During excursion you`ll have 3 stops to visit galleries, tunnels, to walk in the forest and at lake Baikal shore. The train always goes on Baikal shore and you`ll have a possibility to admire beautiful landscapes of the lake. In the evening arrival at the village Port Baikal. Departure by ferry to the village Listvianka. Accommodation at hotel Mayak or homestay.

 

Breakfast. Day is dedicated to Listvianka visiting. Stop at the observation platform to see the famous Shaman Rock. Lunch at local restaurant at the shore of the lake, tasting dishes of famous lake Baikal fish «omul». Then excursion at the Baikal museum to see the flora and the fauna of lake Baikal. Visit by cable car to Mountain Chersky where a beautiful view opens at the south part of lake Baikal and the source of the Angara river. Walking tour at the village Krestovka with visit to the Saint Nicolas church. Return to the hotel or the homestay. Russian banya (supplement service).

 

Breakfast. Dog sledding on a distance of 20 km with lunch pick-nick at the forest. Free time to ski, ti skate on Baikal ice or to ride on snowmobile (supplement service).

 

Breakfast. Departure from Listvianka village to Irkutsk. On the way visit to the museum of wooden architecture `Taltsy`. After museum visit departure to the pictoresque place at Angara river shore for russian troika riding tour at the forest and driving from hill to the Angara river ice. Arrival in Irkutsk. Accommodation at hotel Europe or homestay.

 

Breakfast. Transfer to the train station or airport.
