Activities in Tankhoy:
- Hiking on ecological path on the territory of Baikal Biosphere reserve. It is 2,6 km long, it is wide and can be used by disabled people. There benches, information boards, bird houses and feeders along the path. One can see Khanar Daban mountain range from the path.
- Visit-centre “Reserved Baikal”. Exposition of it is made as big transparent or non-transparent ice-blocks. One can touch all the exibits.
- Film called “Baikal crossing”. This film is about crossing of Baikal in the beginning of XX century by water and ice. There was no railway connecting eastern and western parts of Transsiberian, and trains crossed Baikal incide ice-breakers or along ice drawn by horses.
- Exposition dedicated to Baikal crossing on “Baikal” and “Angara” ice-breakers. It is made as a historical military miniature.
- Interesting old objects: pier, carriages and signal post
- Stupa of Complete Victory, built in July 2017
- 2 sables named Grom (Thunder) and Tuchka (Small storm-cloud). Sable is a small animal with beautiful fur that is used for making fur jackets. These animals are under protection of Russian government now.
