Traditionally, air-cushion vehicles (hovercrafts or ACV) are used in winter, when Baikal is covered with ice and becomes non-navigational. Air-cushion vehicles with the capacity of 5 - 14 persons are provided on Lake Baikal. They are used for tours within Listvyanka Village, to Peschanaya Bay, to Circum-Baikal Railway, to Bolshie Koty Village. Also, these vehicles are suitable for long journeys on Lake Baikal, for example, to Maloe More or Olkhon Island.
Khivus-6 and Khivus-10 hovercrafts
The air-cushion vehicle “Hivus-10” is the safest vehicle for traveling on Lake Baikal, it can move both on ice and on water. Cabin is of comfort class.
The vehicle can be booked for expeditionary routes, scientific trips, for accompanying of groups or recreative trips.
Mars-2000 hovercraft
Capacity: 12-14 passengers
The passenger amphibious air-cushion vehicle “Mars-2000” is the largest and fastest one on Lake Baikal. It is a safe vehicle for traveling around Baikal, it can move both on ice and on water. The vehicle is equipped with advanced navigation system, communication system, and necessary set of rescue equipment. Comfortable warm cabin with convenient seats allows using ACV for tourist, business, accompanying, and scientific trips.
The vehicle may be used in winter and summer.
