New adventure jeep trip: Baikal ice

Join adventure Jeep trip on ice surface of Baikal in spring! Weather is warm, average day temperatures are above zero and ice is very strong and pure. During this trip you`ll  discover  the world of sublime cleanness, fantastical ice forms and unforgettable impressions. You`ll visit Listvyanka village, Olkhon Island, Peschanaya bay, you`ll experience jeeps and hovercrafts and exciting rafting on ice-floe.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1. IRKUTSK – MALOYE MORE (SMALL SEA)
    Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting with a guide in the airport, departure to lake Baikal by jeeps (3-4 persons in each jeep). Lunch en route (buryat meal). Arrival to the strait separating Olkhon island from mainland. This strait as well as this area is called Maloe More or Small Sea. Transfer to Ogoy island by ice. There is Buddhist Stupa on the top of Ogoi.
    Accommodation at a tourist camp, twin rooms with private toilet and shower. Lunch and dinner are included.
  2. Day 2. OLKHON island excursion: SHAMANKA, SAGAN HUSHUN and KHOBOI capes
    Breakfast. Full day excursion by jeep on the ice and Olkhon island. You`ll visit famous lake Baikal sights: Shamanka cape, Sagan Hushin cape, Khoboi cape. Lunch pic-nic on ice. After lunch time for skating, tube`s riding and taking pictures of boundless spaces of Baikal ice. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
  3. Day 3. Small Sea –BUGULDEYKA village
    Breakfast. Departure to the south of lake Baikal. We'll see petroglyphs of famous Sagan Zaba rock, go up to Tan-Khan hill topand have pic-nic.
    Arrival at Buguldeyka village.
    Accommodation in Talovskoe camp of tourists and hunters, twin, triple rooms with toilet and shower on the floor. Excursion to marble carrier.
    Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
  4. Day 4. BUGULDEYKA village – LISTVYANKA village
    Breakfast in the camp. Transfer to the shore. Transfer to Listvyanka by hoverctraft that can slide on ice.  On the way you`ll see Arc cape, famous Peschanaya bay, you`ll visit Skriper rock and Chertov bridge (Bridge of Devil).
    Arrival in Listvyanka in the evening. Transfer to Nikola settlement in 5 km from Listvyanka. Accommodation in a hotel. Breakfast, lunch are included.
  5. Day 5. LISTVYANKA village -RAFTING ON BAIKAL ICE
    Breakfast. Excursion to the top of Chersky mountain by chairlift to see the southern part of lake Baikal, Angara river outflow and Khamar Daban mountain range from observation point.
    Visit to the Baikal museum where you`ll see Baikal seals. Lunch in local restaurant.
    The most impessive part of the tour is rafting on Baikal ice floe. Please, don`t worry! It's absolutely safe. Ice is about 1 m thick in March so a truck can stand on it. The rafting takes about 1 – 1,5 hours.  After rafting you`ll visit Siberian banya (steam bath) with bathing in an ice-hole. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
  6. Day 6. LISTVYANKA village – IRKUTSK – departure
    Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure from Irkutsk.
